
With a resounding vote, Cuba legalizes same-sex marriage after referendum | Video
With 94% of the ballot, the National Electoral Council of Cuba reported this Monday that 3,936,790 people voted in favor of marriage between same-sex couples, compared to the 1,950,090 who opposed it, which represents overwhelming support for the new law. The new family code also establishes protections for children, the elderly, foster parents and women’s rights.
