The Jalisco prosecutor’s office, in western Mexico, is investigating under the femicide protocol the death of Luz Raquel Padilla, who died on Tuesday from the burns she suffered when she was attacked with alcohol and fire. The unit added that the victim filed a previous complaint for the crime of threats against a man, a precedent that is followed as one of the lines of investigation.
