They accuse those involved in the attack on Cristina Fernández of attempted murder
(CNN Spanish) — Federal judge María Eugenia Capuchetti decided to prosecute Fernando Sabag Montiel and Brenda Uliarte on Thursday for the crime of attempted murder, considering that both defendants are co-authors of the attack against Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, which occurred on Thursday night September 1 in the vicinity of his home.
The magistrate also ordered preventive detention for both, who are already detained. In addition, she seized the assets of the 35-year-old man and the 23-year-old woman for the equivalent of more than 670,000 dollars according to the official exchange rate.
CNN contacted the defenses of both defendants but they have not yet ruled on the recent court ruling.
They previously denied in court having participated in the attack.
