The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) reported that it fired Martha Rodríguez, adviser and tutor of the controversial thesis of the Minister of the Supreme Court of Justice Yasmín Esquivel. Last week, the Facultad de Estudios Superiores Aragón —an academic entity of the UNAM— said that the thesis that Esquivel presented in 1987 “is a substantial copy” of another thesis presented in 1986 by another of her students.
