The roof of the Monumental Stadium in Chile collapses and gives in with fans above

(CNN Spanish) –– The roof of the Monumental Stadium of Colo-Colo, located in Santiago de Chile, gave way this Friday during a traditional “harangue”, in which the fans climbed into unauthorized parts of the venue.
The event was captured on video and the images show how the structures collapse with some of the attendees on the facilities of the Cordillera sector.
Maximiliano Falcón, defender of the Colo-Colo team, said in a conference minutes after the incident that “we have said it repeatedly, in campaigns, in everything: that people behave. To be insisting all the time on that is tiring and they still don’t do it”.
At the moment, Carabineros de Chile reports at least 4 people injured, but no one seriously.
The event occurs just on the 33rd anniversary of the team’s headquarters.
