Read Time:32 Second

With the jury selection process, the trial against Genaro García Luna began, who appeared before Judge Brian Cogan, in the Eastern District Court of New York. The former Secretary of Public Security during the government of President Felipe Calderón (2006-2012), arrested in Texas on December 9, 2019, faces charges of participating in a continuous criminal enterprise of drug trafficking and of lying to immigration authorities.
