It would seem that the ferocious passage of Hurricane Ian through Cuba brought the governments of Washington and Havana closer together. Both the Cuban Foreign Ministry and sources from the Biden administration confirmed that both countries exchange information on the damage caused by the devastating cyclone. In parallel, The Wall Street Journal reported that, in an apparently unprecedented act, the Cuban regime had requested humanitarian aid from the United States for the victims of Ian.
