
The border points that join Colombia and Venezuela
(CNN) — Venezuela and Colombia share 2,341 kilometers of border. In total there are eight border points connecting the two countries.
The border points, which link the two countries by land and river, are located in three Colombian departments with three Venezuelan ones.
So:
- The department of La Guajira, in Colombia, with Zulia, Venezuela.
- The department of Norte de Santander, Colombia, with the department of Táchira, in Venezuela.
- The department of Arauca, in Colombia, with that of Apure, in Venezuela.
The two countries are connected by river through the departments of Vichada and Guainía, in western Colombia.
