
Protests in Peru will generate temporarily higher inflation in January
(CNN) — Protests and social unrest in Peru will cause a small temporary increase in inflation in the South American country for the month of January, Peru’s Finance Minister Alex Contreras told TV Peru on Monday.
Contreras told TV Peru that inflation for the month of January could be between 8.8 and 8.9% year-on-year.
