Petro condemns attack in which 8 policemen died in Colombia

The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, tweeted this Friday that at least eight policemen died after an attack with explosives in the municipality of Neiva, in the department of Huila. Petro added that these events express a “clear sabotage” of his plan to achieve “total peace” and asked the authorities to travel to the scene to take over the investigation. For his part, the director of the Colombian National Police, Henry Sanabria, reported that his elements went to the area where the attack occurred.
