Government of Cuba used forced labor camps for years to “brainwash” opponents | Video

In an attempt to satisfy the island’s agricultural production, between 1965 and 1968 the Fidel Castro regime created the Military Production Assistance Unit (UMAP). It was a kind of forced labor camp where, in addition to taking advantage of unpaid labor, the Cuban government tried to “brainwash” and “change the ideology” of persona non grata such as homosexuals, religious and opponents, among others.
