Duque: I accepted 1.8 million Venezuelan migrants in Colombia | Video
Former President Iván Duque Márquez commented in an interview with Camilo that “when one wants to govern -and one has to govern looking to get it right-, one cannot be a prisoner of popularity.” He stressed that during his term “I made very unpopular decisions, such as accepting 1.8 million Venezuelan migrants in our country.” The former Colombian president pointed out that he was never worried about the criticism of his opponents, “because he knew what he was going to face” and his main goal was to carry out the government work for which he had been elected.
