Colombian model Anggie Bryan explained that she learned to face discrimination and racism when she decided to “embrace her culture and her roots, and thus go out into the world.” Within the framework of the International Day of Afro-Latin, Afro-Caribbean and Diaspora Women, the also activist and business administrator recounted that since she was a child she was discriminated against because of her hair and that one day she told herself that she was not going to allow people to dictate how she should combing and using her hair.
