The president of Peru, Dina Boluarte, said that “the right to protest cannot be accompanied by violence, destruction and death.” In a press conference, the president assured that millions have been lost in production and infrastructure. She added that they invited the Human Rights Commission to verify the deaths that occurred in the midst of the protests in the country.
